There are a variety of ways that you can warm up your home in the winter. It’s one of the most important things that you can do because your home needs to be comfortable. Two of the most popular methods of heating the house are the boiler and the heat pumps. There are differences between these methods, however, and understanding them will help you to heat your home efficiently.
Boilers
Boilers are the most popular and most common way that people choose to heat their houses. They have been popular for many years, and they come in all shapes and sizes. You can get condenser boilers, electric boilers, gas/ oil boilers and combi boilers. Choosing the right one for your house is going to make a difference to your house, and they do exactly as the name suggests – they boil the water within them to heat the home.
Heat Pumps
Heat pumps use electricity as opposed to gas to heat the house. They use renewable sources of energy to generate the electricity needed to heat the water. This will then heat the whole house – and that’s kind of the downside, as you can’t dictate the rooms that the heat will permeate. It heats them all! They are a renewable source, which makes them a heat option that works for the house. It’s a costlier option than the boiler, too, and this can influence the decision that you make for your house.
